slayersidekick | 1 Wicca spell [Action/Accidental Voice]

[It's early morning when Willow finally wakes up, blinking the sleep from her eyes. It takes her a few minutes to realize she's not in bed at Buffy's house, like she was last night when she fell asleep. Had she actually fallen asleep or had she dozed off for a little? The pile of clothes next to her says she merely dozed off before bed, but she can't imagine why she'd be wearing such a... weird hospital-type gown if she'd merely "dozed off." Then again, she has no idea why she wouldn't be in bed, either.

She sits up and looks around. The fountain is at her back - and it's a pretty one, too - but she's more than certain she's never seen it before in her life. What on earth is going on around here?

Something flips nervously in her stomach. Did someone use magic and transport her inter-dimensionally somehow? Or did she do it? Fantastic. Maybe it's just a dream. She's hoping so about now.

Sighing, she sits there for a few minutes to gather her thoughts before getting up to look around for a place to get changed. This gown is doing nothing at all for her. It's about then that she notices the open journal by her feet. She picks it up and looks at it, not noticing - yet - that it's on and recording.]

Hello? What is this thing...?

It's kind of a short tour, I guess. Kitchen's right this way. And--yeah, once? I turned the corner here and found Bones' girlfriend tearing apart the microwave.

[ That gets an incredulous snort. ]

Tearing apart the microwave- [ Hold on, she briefly talked to someone under that guise recently. ]

Wait, McCoy's girlfriend? That's Emony, alien-girl, right?

Yep. Don't worry about the whole alien bit. She's...she's good folk. I trust her.

She didn't sound too crazy. Our conversation was brief, but she made the 'not crazy' list. Can't wait to actually, uh... meet everyone.

We'll get you settled and then you can play the introduction game. But--ah, I guess I can't actually go much longer without dishing on these deets. Will? You were here once before so, if they kinda act like they know you? It's because they did. Briefly.

[ Willow frowns just enough as she digests that detail. ]

...Guess that explains why everyone seems to know I'm friends with you. [ Unless, y'know, Buffy's talked about her a lot. ]

Then it won't be as much introduction as reintroduction and a reminder. Shake that old memory.

Well, there is the talking thing, too. I think I've told Bones pretty much about everyone, from home. But you were here for a few months. Lived here, too. But--ah--then, we didn't really have a spare room. So you crashed in mine. But that's not a problem, now.

Did other people leave after I did? Is it possible to drag people out with you? [ There's a lot about this place she still has to learn. ]

They left around the same time. Sometimes...people leave all in bunches. I'm not sure how, or why. But I don't think it was a dragging thing.

Oh, good, 'cause I'm not sure if I should be really happy or upset about it if it was. Being home is good, but dragging people away from their friends isn't really something I do.

Bones is still a little sore about them leaving--even though, oh...they're home, now. We're supposed to be happy when people go home.

Yeah, but... that doesn't make it hurt any less. [ She knows how this losing people thing goes. It's really difficult to deal with at home, let alone in a place like this, where you know they're alive, but you still don't know if you'll ever see them again. ]

Maybe they'll all come back, good as new.

Y-yeah. Maybe. It...could be nice, if they did. But then they might not even remember us and...[Buffy frowns.] See, there was a guy.

[After a quick jaunt around the open plan kitchen, Buffy heads down one of the hallways.]

A guy for Mc- [ Wait... ] Oh... oh A guy.

[ Willow makes notes of where things are in the kitchen before following Buffy down a hallway. ]

You're afraid he won't remember what happened between you.

He was--still is--McCoy's commanding officer kinda guy. A Captain. He left about six months ago, and...yeah, if he comes back? He probably won't remember mer. I mean, you don't remember them. It's how it works, here.

[She pushes open the door to one of the empty rooms.] Yours for the taking.

Oh, Buffy. [ Willow looks at her sadly for a minute as she steps into the room and then best friend can't help hugging her. She understands what it's like to lose someone you care about, though at least both of hers remembered her. ]

It's a great room. Lacking a few details of my room at home- [ Which is really, technically, Buffy's mom's room, but details. ] -but it'll do.

Anything you want, you can find out in the shops. Mostly anything.

[She leans against the door frame, arms crossed.]

Mostly? I'm guessing no star-studded crosses or bottles of holy water?

I've got plenty of that kinda thing in the chest, in my room. Help yourself.

Guess that wasn't it, then.

[ She pauses and moves to sit down on her bed. ]

Buffy... do you think anyone else will turn up?

Normally, new people come every month. But--really? Something weird went down. We had no New Feathers for a long while and you're kinda part of the first new batch. Who knows.

I guess... everything's getting a little weird, huh.

[ She takes a minute to look around the room ~~and miss Tara even more~~ before she flops back against the pillows. ]

Maybe they won't. Maybe they'll be back home, where they should be, where it's better.

[ As far as she knows, anyway. ]

Exactly. If people are home? Then they're...doing what they gotta do. And they're not being side tracked, here. It's...good.

[But she reaches for Willow's hand.] But, even still? I'm glad your here.

[ She sits up and squeezes Buffy's hand in a total bff way, with a small smile. ] I'm just glad I know someone here. Coming here and adjusting is bad enough, but doing it alone would be so much worse. So... I'm glad you're here, too.

When I showed up, it was just Angel and Faith and Spike. Kind of a motley welcoming crew.
