2nd Wicca Spell [Action]

[ For most of the day, Willow's killing time before the big meeting. For the beginning and middle parts of the day, Willow is cooking. Yes, House 7 smells of food today. Early in the morning, she gets up to cook breakfast, pancakes - and she's totally taking orders from anyone who's actually up with her - and omelets if you guys are lucky. Any shape, any flavor. She might be looking pensive while she cooks, too. She misses Tara.

Later in the day, she's making a homemade soup. Little on the spicy side, but not terribly so. And she's still doing it all by hand. No magic at all. Not even to get the water hot. Feel free to run into her at either time or both. She's examining her journal while the soup's cooking, sitting at the kitchen table, so totally open to being disturbed.


Between cooking times, she'll make a pit stop in the library just to look around. Needs to kill time between cooking and the meeting. She's nervous about what Giles might have to tell her regarding the magic and her addiction at home. Everything's different here and she's very preoccupied. Chances are she might run into someone or walk right by them without noticing. ]

Then if he asks? We tell. Xander's got at least three years of Scooby experience under his belt. He can deal--and if he has to deal with that? Then maybe we can distract him from the whole Buffy died subject.

That's a good idea, too. Definitely no to the talking about death part, a-and no about your mom, too.

[ She looks sympathetic, though, because she knows that'll be a hard subject regardless. ]

Yeah. Something tells me he won't take it so well.

[ She takes a sip of her OJ, focusing on the smell and less on everything else before she changes the subject quickly. ] I told him about the magical addiction and how I made our memories go blank, but nothing else. I just thought he should know why I'm not using magic anymore. And Giles knows, too.

[herotypical]

[And she had been the one to speak to Giles about that problem; however, revealing nothing--Buffy simply nods.]

Selective honesty is really becoming the best policy.

Yeah. [ Staring fixedly at her glass now. ] I get why you and Spike and Andrew don't want to tell me about my future. It doesn't make me less curious, but there are things I want to talk to Xander about that he doesn't know. Like Anya, like Tara, and even Dawn. It's ... kinda like when Adam and Spike were trying to split us up, only we're not not talking; we just aren't saying everything.

The best way I can put it is...I'd love to tell you everything, Will. But that kind of an info overload without all the context and the time to work through it? Kinda fatal.

[Picking at her food, now.] When Angel was still here? He told me things that I should not have been told. Things I wish I never knew. I don't want to to that to you guys.

[slayersidekick]

[ And she understands that. She also sees Buffy picking at food. ] I didn't poison it. [ Teasing. Trying to keep things mostly light. ]

I'll just live without knowing a-and if you ever decide to tell me things, I'll take them as well as I can. [ It's her turn to fiddle with her glass again. ] I trust your judgment, Buffy. If you think I'm not ready to know... then I guess I won't know until I get back home.

[herotypical]

[A smile and a bite--she likes it, but the talk is hard to make with a full mouth.]

I'm not afraid to drop a little knowledge, here and there. I just don't want to overwhelm you guys all at once.

[ She gets that, and she'll wait, taking a drink of her juice. ]

Hey, I'm fine not knowing everything all at once. No heads exploding from too many surprises at once is probably a good thing. I'll find things out when I find them out. No big.
