2nd Wicca Spell [Action]

[ For most of the day, Willow's killing time before the big meeting. For the beginning and middle parts of the day, Willow is cooking. Yes, House 7 smells of food today. Early in the morning, she gets up to cook breakfast, pancakes - and she's totally taking orders from anyone who's actually up with her - and omelets if you guys are lucky. Any shape, any flavor. She might be looking pensive while she cooks, too. She misses Tara.

Later in the day, she's making a homemade soup. Little on the spicy side, but not terribly so. And she's still doing it all by hand. No magic at all. Not even to get the water hot. Feel free to run into her at either time or both. She's examining her journal while the soup's cooking, sitting at the kitchen table, so totally open to being disturbed.


Between cooking times, she'll make a pit stop in the library just to look around. Needs to kill time between cooking and the meeting. She's nervous about what Giles might have to tell her regarding the magic and her addiction at home. Everything's different here and she's very preoccupied. Chances are she might run into someone or walk right by them without noticing. ]

Ah!

[Terra staggers back, narrowly avoiding a collision in the library. She nearly drops the books she's holding, but manages to cling to them just in time.]

[ Unlike Terra, Willow goes sprawling backwards to the floor. ]

Sorry! I wasn't paying attention. [ As she picks herself back up. ]

[Terra winces and shifts her books so that she has a free hand to extend to Willow.]

Are you alright?

Fine. [ Taking the extra help to get up. ]

Don't worry about me. Are you all right? [ Frowning slightly. ] It's Terra, right? [ She remembers their first meeting. The second one isn't much better. ]

[She nods at the question.]

Right. And you're...Willow? How have you been settling in?

[ Willow nods in response, smiling just a little. ] Yeah. I'm doing all right. Buffy's been showing me around. It's not quite as big as I thought it was at first.

It really isn't. I know it's a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get into a routine, that helps a lot.

So what are you searching for?

Yeah. It has so far. I-I even cooked breakfast this morning, like I used to at home.

Oh- [ She glances at the books around. ] Anything to pass the time.

That's what I was doing, too.

[She cradles her books, some cookbooks and a romance novel or two.]

You won't really find anything about Luceti in here, but there's a lot to learn about everything else.

I know. [ She glances at the armful Terra has and then turns to the nearest bookshelf. ]

It's all interesting, but it's strange, too. I mean, I'm used to different dimensions, but I've never actually seen books on them or been to one. The closest I came was seeing a vampy me get sucked from her dimension and run around Sunnydale.

You...met another version of yourself?!

[Her eyes widen, then she pauses.]

There was actually something like that last month. People suddenly remembered their pasts very differently. But it's not like we had another us running around.

Yeah. [ She turns around at that. ] Everyone kept thinking I was a vampire. It was weird, but normal by Sunnydale's standards. Anya and I did a spell to find something of hers, but it backfired and drew toothy vampy me from that dimension instead of her necklace.

Having something like that happen isn't often, even in Sunnydale, but things like it happen all the time. People going to other dimensions. Talking about them.

Your world sounds more interesting than mine. I never knew or realized there were other dimensions, before arriving here.

...but I'd rather not meet another version of myself, all the same. That would be too weird.

If by 'interesting' you mean 'more likely to die on a daily basis...' then yes. Sunnydale wasn't exactly the easiest place to live in.

Considering Xander accosted me with a cross that night because of it? Yeah. Strange.

I guess I'm used to fighting, too. It happened all the time, before I arrive d here. Though I don't remember having to deal with vampires before....

Vampires are the most common demons back home in Sunnydale. There's at least one sired a night. Or it seems like that anyway. But there's other demons, too.

[Terra furrows her brow.]

I didn't know that.

The ones back home are. They have a demon side. I guess it comes from losing their souls when they're Sired.

Did you find out if any of the vampires you mentioned before for are here?

It is. Complicated, I mean.

Spike is, Drusilla and Angel were, but none of the others, which is good. So, no more worrying about which crazy vamp is gonna try to suck me dry.

No, I really don't think that sort of thing happens a lot around here. In fact, I've never heard of it..and I really hope it stays that way.

Oh, good. I hope so, too. It's not really... pleasant when you think one's going to do that.

...not that it's always pleasant here, but we have our own set of problems.

A-at least it can't be worse than demons and crazy things running at us all the time. It'll be just like Sunnydale. O-only if someone offers you chocolate bars for the marching band fundraisers? Don't take them.

...though other chocolate here is okay. Thankfully. I wouldn't want to live without it.
